Aryana is a PhD candidate in Anthropology at The New School for Social Research and the Art and Social Justice Fellow at The Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School. Her research sits at the intersection of visual and image cultures, gender and sexuality studies, decolonial thought, new media and speculative design. She is currently working with queer media outlets across the SWANA region to question the role aesthetics play in making new political imaginaries, and explorations of sexuality using digital media.
