In ‘Phaedra Untrimmed’, Betina Abi Habib goes back in memory to her first memorized theatre script, which is “Phèdre” written by Jean Racine. Based on a Greek tragedy, adopted by the Romans, then written by the Frenchman, the play landed in 1990’s Lebanon as one of the many French colonial inheritances. Through a multimedia performance, Betina engages 3 female collaborators from Taiwan, Lebanon and The Netherlands on an introspective mission to relay their own learned-by-heart knowledges.
