Lecture: On Agonism and The Crafting of Hope
by Omar Adel + Q&A
Sunday 03/07 17:30 - 19:00
Agonism is a political and social theory that emphasizes the potentially positive aspects of certain forms of conflict. During this lecture, Omar Adel attempts to introduce the notion of agonism as a possible tool towards finding slippery tunnels and exit holes out of violent situations. How can we assemble the broken shards as tools of resistance and hope? Hope, in this case, is an entity that needs to be consciously crafted by finding ways of making sense and critically engaging with the existing discourses we are adopting in our defense of being antagonists. .
